Makyla Vigil joined Counterpoint Legal in January 2020. She primarily handles landlord tenant cases, HOA disputes and other civil litigation disputes.
Makyla graduated Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. During her time in law school, she received the top grade in her Property One and Property Two classes. Prior to attending law school, Makyla attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Before starting at Counterpoint Legal, Makyla worked as a law clerk at a local insurance defense firm. Makyla also interned at an estate planning firm in Del Mar. Makyla also worked at the Thomas Jefferson Small Business Law Center and worked directly with nonprofits and small businesses.
Makyla was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She moved to San Diego to attend law school and further her legal career. During her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog, going to the beach, and listen to true crime podcasts.
